What a find. Visited Knaresborough for the 1st time today and called into Hirsts on the way home. 2 pork pies, 3 sausage rolls, a vanilla slice, and 2 bavarian slices. THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED. THANK YOU AND KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING PRODUCTS. FABULOUS

Like most reviewers we originally stumbled upon Hirst's on a visit to Knaresborough. Now if we're travelling up or down the A1 we have to call in and stock up. Hey, who am I kidding! We often drive to Hirst's from Rotherham just to stock up on treats. Try the Spelt with honey bread, delicious with blue cheese or brie!

We made a point to stop by here to sample their delicious warm pork pies. Verdict? Delicious! We even took some away to freeze for later enjoyment. Towards the end of our visit to this quaint town we returned to indulge in their apple turnovers - full of cream and delightfully wicked! Oh, and the staff, whilst extremely busy were patient and friendly. Thank you!

The best range of cakes imaginable. So much better than offers from chain bakeries. Family owned and the fact that they are up baking early in the mornings on Sundays is amazing. There aren’t enough proper bakeries left like this - use it or lose it.

Visiting family up north and came across this wonderful traditional bakery. We loaded up on Cornish pasties. Very tasty and traditional, fully loaded too. Highly recommend a visit. I am looking forward to trying the sausage rolls and steak n Ale pies.

Fantastic little bakery. I popped in everyday on my short visit to Knaresborough. Lovely lady serving, she remembered my order on second day and was happy for me to take a photo of the display.

Basque cheesecake is absolutely amazing, I would like to eat it everyday! The sandwich is also fresh and sauce brings the taste special. Vegan sausage roll is quite good actually, doesn’t have strong vegetables taste. Steak pie is a bit dry outside, but taste good inside the center.

Excellent little bakery. All baked in house we were told and the staff were fantastic. Brilliant selection of cakes and bakes which were all fantastic and we also had some great sandwiches made on site too. Perfect fuel for our walk!
